About this course
The 4-Hour Medication Technician Clinical Update is the Maryland Board of Nursing-required refresher course for Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs) renewing their certification.
This course reinforces safe medication administration practices and provides an opportunity to review essential skills, identify areas requiring additional education, and demonstrate continued competency as a Medication Technician.
The Clinical Update must be completed within the required renewal timeframe and includes the competency requirements established by the Maryland Board of Nursing. Following successful completion, the instructor submits verification of the Clinical Update to the Board as part of the CMT renewal process.
This course is intended for currently certified Medication Technicians who are eligible for renewal (within 30-day grace period of expiration). This class is held in-person.
